AADL-SEAAL: Memorandum of understanding inked to improve water supply services

ALGIERS- The National Agency for Housing Improvement and Development (AADL) signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday with the Algiers Water and Sanitation Company (SEAAL) providing for the management of drinking water supply DWS structures in the AADL cities, indicated a press release from the agency.

The agreement was signed by the Director General of AADL, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, and the Director General of SEAAL, Brice Cabibel, at the headquarters of the National Agency for the Improvement and Development of Housing in Algiers, in presence of the deputy general manager for property management, Rachid Belas.

The protocol which concerns the wilayas of Algiers and Tipaza comes in the extension of the agreements concluded between the ministries of Housing and Water Resources.

It provides for the management of drinking water supply DWS¨structures in AADL cities, maintenance, monitoring and intervention work, and the operation of water reservoirs, pumps and distribution networks of potable water.

The protocol aims to improve water supply services and to deal with recurrent water cuts in the AADL cities.
